What is table scraps?

There’s always scraps

on my table

I’m a woman with many hobbies and most probably undiagnosed ADHD. I start a lot of projects, and they get left ‘on my table’ when I pick up another project until I come back for them.

There’s also a passage in the Bible that says 'Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.’ which has always spoken to me about God’s abundant blessing that overflows to all who have faith to believe.

Close-up of a woman's shoulder, showcasing a tattoo that reads 'soulfer is loving,' with her hand near her neck wearing multiple rings; part of her face and dark hair are visible.
A young woman with blonde hair, glasses, and a nose ring sitting at a table in a room with a whiteboard and a window showing trees outside. She is resting her chin on her left hand and looking at the camera.

Who is alia?

Thanks for asking!

I’m a Wife, Mother, Daughter, Friend, Creative, Singer, and ‘Full Time’ Artist.

I’m believing that my art will speak to your heart and/or your home and I can turn this hustle into a business to show myself and my son that anything is possible if we believe and work hard!

My Story

I got my first (and longest) job at 13 and BECAME the Dairy Queen. I did A LOT of work on special occasion cakes, painting them with coloured gel, learning the most beautiful way to do calligraphy with a pipe bag, and coordination with icing. I continue to use those skills today, not just on cakes, but with my apple pencil and paint brushes as well.

I painted word art on canvas to pay for some moving expenses from Canada to Australia in 2016 and then didn’t have much time/money for this hobby due to uni work/obligations

I started dabbling into digital art during my studies of music in Sydney in 2017.

I’ve had many jobs during my adulthood. Youth worker, Barista, Vineyard hand, Waitress, Administrative Assistant, but the most difficult one has been unpaid and 24/7. It’s called Motherhood..

I’ve always loved to create. Whether it’s writing poems, drawing, baking, playing guitar, photography, or crocheting; I love working with my hands. I took a 3 year hiatus from most of my creative activities while I was pregnant and during the early days of learning to cope with family life. I chose to sleep during every down time moment but one day in October 2025 I decided it was time to get out my easel and paint what I saw out my window.

As a woman with Vitiligo, I see beauty in imperfections. I never want my art to be too perfect (couldn’t if I tried), I want it to be raw and reach to the heart of those viewing it. There’s a lot of whimsy pieces in my gallery along with digital portraits of loved ones, and as I continue to showcase my new ideas I hope to show a vulnerable and relatable side of motherhood.

quitting my day job to be an artist in this saturated market is terrifying but we all need to do something scared!

I know, it’s kind of funny to acknowledge that THIS painting is what made me quit my job and pursue this full time..
